If you have a lawn that is brown, tired and in need of a green lift, the following recipe should give a lawn that is the envy of the neighbourhood. This recipe can be used as a patch kit for individual spots need repair or you can use this on your entire lawn.


Materials that you will need:

• One 5 1/2 " cu. ft. compressed peat moss
• One 4 cu. ft. vermiculite
• One 2kg. bag 7-21-7 fertilizer
• 102kg. Grass Seed (Good Quality)
• Shovel
• Garden Hose
• Garden Rake
• Fertilizer Applicator

Method

1. Prepare the above mixture on a hard surface like a driveway, sidewalk or a sheet of Plywood.

2. Add the Peat Moss and then add the vermiculite on top of the peat moss. Thouroughly mix the pile with a shovel while continuously add water. The mixture should be wet enough to squeeze water out of it.) This process will take 10-25 minutes in total.

3. Roughly spread the mixture on your lawn with a shovel.
